Everybody Struggles!

Everybody struggles while starting a new job or internship. There is nothing to hesitate when asked about struggles you faced during the internship. You come across new language, new codebase, new working environment, hence it may take some time of hardship and struggles to overcome your problems.
- Where I was stuck & How did I improvise ?
There were several hardships involved during the weeks of my outreachy internship. I had to document the various development and contributing aspects in the Kubernetes environment. My tasks was to document some of the testing and API ideologies of the application, since I had not personally experienced the workflow, I had to read various documentations of various authors. After which, I made a cumulative data resource which contained key points from every articles. Next task was to format the documentations to the Kubernetes Style Guide and Markdown Workflow. I was relatively new to kubernetes documentation style guide in which I had to title each document with proviging its Title, Slug, Subject. The importance of these things I came to know later onwards.
There were times when I had to document some newer version of APIs and Test Automations but the resources which I got were out of date and were mentionaning outdated conventions, here were some true struggles I faced where in which I had to personally set up the following application and had to personally use the API to see what are the use cases and several other aspects which can be documented for the further users.
There were times where neither the articles nor the old documentations helped, at such times my mentor and co-mentor helped with providing some personal insights and some google docs with supporting youtube videos of Kubernetes Conferences which helped me in finally passing out the time of struggle and hardship.
- My Advice
There is nothing to worry or hesitate while asking for help, it is obvious that while settling in new enviroment whether it be programming language, development workflow, and the people around you it needs some hardships and some extra efforts to overcome all of those obstacles. If there is any obstacle which is quite large you must ask for help without a second thought as asking for help may let you know the perspective of your mentor or the other individual and you may get a broader vision of how you should work ahead and get the best experience from your outreachy internship.
